Schwalbe’s Big Apple tyre forged the comfort trend over a decade ago with a focus on complete comfort, durability, and protection. Nothing more, nothing less. The Big Apple tyre has natural built-in suspension and is most noticeable when inflated to 30psi. At this tyre pressure the tyre will glide along with a suspension effect for superior comfort.
Technologies:
K-Guard: protection layer reinforced with Kevlar® fibres. The protection standard for every tyre from the Active Line.
Dynamo: with Dynamo ribbing.
Active Line: the basis for all Active Line tyres is the high-quality 50 EPI carcass. Schwalbe no longer produces tyres with a coarse 20 or 24 EPI carcass. In addition, K-Guard provides effective puncture protection for Active Line tyres.
Balloonbikes: air suspension built-in
E-Bike Ready 25: in standard pedelecs that have motor assist up to 25 km/h, there is no legal requirement for a special tyre. But even with these bikes, loads and average speeds are higher than in regular bikes, therefore we recommend only certain tyres as “E-Bike Ready 25”.
